FREE TIPS TO IMPROVE FUEL ECONOMY !
Which Fuel do you use ?
Purchasing fuel is like purchasing a fine wine. As you have probably discovered there
is a vast amount of difference between cheap wine and Premium quality wines. From experience you end up with better flavour
and satisfaction from drinking a good quality wine, plus you won't suffer from a bad hangover the next day ! ...
unless if you drink too much, but that's another story ... Anyway, back on topic ...
Just as it is more pleasurable
for humans to drink good wine, it is far better for car engines to consume good quality Fuels. Almost as soon as you insert
the premium fuel into your tank you will gain Improved Performance coupled with greater distance of Fuel Economy. Additonally,
you will also benefit from subsequent fills where more and more improvement to peformance and economy will be noticed.
As with humans and hangovers from drinking cheap wine, you car engine will suffer less mechanical wear and
tear, potential costly repairs and possible total destruction from running cheap quality fuels when compared to Premium Fuels.

So Which
Fuel should YOU use ?
As a general rule, the Higher the Performance of the
Engine, the Better the Quality of fuel you should run. These days nearly all Supercharged or Turbocharged engines have
manufacturer recommendations to only use Premium Fuel for Performance and Economy.
If you run standard 91
RON Unleaded fuel on a high performance engine you run the risk of pinging and detonation occuring in your engine which can
lead to damage of the piston rings, blowing the head gaskets and in extreme cases, totally destroy your engine ! Not
only this but you will experience dull throttle response and less fuel economy than you would running better quality Premium
Fuels.
So why run poor quality Standard Unleaded fuel ?
Most people think that with standard unleaded costing less at the pump they are saving money.
However this is nothing but a False Saving as the Quality of the fuel and the resulting Performance and Economy
is far less than if running a Premium Blend of Fuel. Sure you may pay a little more for Premium at the pump, but you will
realise the benefits with More Power and Better Fuel Economy !
Premium Fuel = More Miles Per Gallon (MPG)
or Litres Per 100km however you like to measure it ... this Increased Mileage coupled with vastly
improved Power and Performance and you will soon discover filling your tank with Premium Fuel is a much smarter choice !
Additionally you can avoid the potential damage to your engine that can occur with Low Quality Regular Unleaded fuels.
Plus as an added Bonus with BP Ultimate 98+RON Fuel it also contains fuel system cleaner within the fuel !
And for the environmentally conscious, Premium Fuel is better for the Environment !
What Fuel should you use in your Engine ?
We recommend to run the highest RON
Premium available in your area. In City Areas this would be 98+RON, in some Country Areas you may only be able to find 95
RON Premium. In any case it will be better to run Premium Fuel over Regular Unleaded lower quality fuel. Popular Fuel Supplier Brands and Manufacturers: BP

So, Finally Which is the Most Economical Fuel ?
In our opinion the BP Fuels Ultimate 98+RON is the clear market leader in quality,
economy and performance, especially when used in high performance Supercharged or Turbocharged 4 Cylinder, 6 Cylinder and
V8 engine vehicles.
If running a high performance Naturally Aspirated engine, then interestingly the tables
turn in favour of the Shell Optimax Fuel. Seemingly every fuel has a purpose and such that when needed for standard performance
engines, then Caltex Vortex will be the best choice.
In order of preference we rank
Fuel Companies for Quality, Performance and Economy: BP Fuels No:1 - Especially for supercharged and turbocharged cars Shell
Petrols No:2 - Best for high performance naturally aspirated engines Caltex
Fuel No:3 - For most standard everyday engines and small cars
